In celebration of the country’s 53rd Merdeka , with the theme “1Malaysia – Menjana Tranformasi”, this is my time to reflect back on my personal life as well as my beloved nation. This is a time to evaluate our progress and set news goals for the future. I always feel blessed and grateful for being a Malaysian.
MERDEKA is about how we’ve changed, progressed and positioned ourselves over time. If today we are no better from a year ago, we should ask ourselves if we have lived up to the word MERDEKA. Let us remember back on the five objectives of Rukun Negara :
1-To achieve greater unity among Malaysians.
2-To maintain a democratic way of life.
3-To create a just society in which the wealth of the nation shall be equitably shared.
4-To ensure a liberal approach to her rich and diverse cultural traditions.
5-To build a progressive society which shall be oriented to modern science and technology.
The saying goes – United We Stand Divided We Fall
Happy Merdeka & Malaysia Day.

Someone was asking me, why bad things happen to good people? Well, It rains on the just and unjust alike. Better to stop complaining and start making better choices.
When we are in bad luck period, we may often face hard times. And when we face hard times, we tend to believe the way we see the world reflects the way it really is. Bad Luck may simply distort our viewing of the world – causing us to see from a lens of hopeless.
On the other hand – when we are in good Luck time – we feel better, we think clearer and our perspective of the world – looks brighter and better.
If you want to control or alter bad time – start by controlling your inner view of the world. If you deliberately choose to see the bright side of the world, you’ve already taken a positive step away from your bad time.
Otherwise just remember – there are seasons we call ‘lucky time’ in our lives. And the painful times never last. No matter how bad you think your situation is right now, just remember one thing – this too shall pass.
The common purpose of life is to be HAPPY. That’s the reason we do the things we do and want the things we want. But once in a while, we tend to loose track of this purpose.
Remember to focus on your purpose today and if you can, help others achieve their purpose too.
The world is not as bad as it seems. Take a day off tomorrow, stop thinking about the ‘whys’ in life and just go out and have some fun.
